NCPA 2^nd Annual Winter Meeting was held on Wednesday January 16, 2002 at the Radisson Hotel in Chelmsford, MA.  A great turnout of 78 individuals from 42 companies (22 producers and 20 Associate members) were present for the meeting.

The featured speakers were Joan Blecha, Southeast Region President of Hanson Pipe and Products, and Ty Gable, President of the National Precast Concrete Association since 1994.

Joan is a Certified Public Accountant, specializing in the construction, electric utility and health care industries.  She successfully became president of Taylor Precast in 1988, and CEO of Joelson Taylor after the merger of Taylor and Joelson.  Her current position evolved from the purchase of Joelson Taylor by Hanson.  Joan has spoken before national and regional gatherings in many different venues.  Joan's timely message was titled "Relative Pricing", an important subject in today's changing world.  She gave a great presentation on knowing your, costs, pricing and profits.

Ty is author of numerous articles and speaks extensively on construction, the Concrete Industry, and association management topics.  He is recognized by the American Society of Association Executives as a Certified Association Executive and as a Fellow.
